How do we bridge the gap between creative intuition and digital innovation in fashion?

In our first autumn feature, we talk with Monika Lärnros, an experienced creative leader in fashion tech and brand design. Drawing on two decades of global product development, she shares key insights on using AI as a creative sparring partner, streamlining design iterations, and driving sustainable transformation.

“There is no doubt that professional expertise, creativity, edge, intention, original thinking, ethics, and empathy remain essential to generate an authentic result. I see no threat or opposition between human creativity and AI. The creator's role will be more important than ever in the future.”

We are organizing several network sessions throughout the autumn to dive deeper into practical tech integration, creative workflows, and tool development.

The network is aimed at people within the creative sectors of fashion, architecture, film, and design – especially industrial design, who have experience implementing AI into their workflows and who are willing to share and exchange their experience with others.

About AI for the Creative Sector

AI for the Creative Sector is a bi-monthly newsletter sent out as part of the Re:Create project, an initiative led by AI Sweden.

The project is co-funded by Västra Götalandsregionen and The European Union through the project ‘Increased national collaboration for accelerated use of AI in all industries’.

Re:Create investigates how AI can strengthen and develop design processes by focusing on the participants' needs. The project is based on the actors' desire for skills development and to explore AI's possibilities for creative creation, production, and innovation, with a particular focus on visualization. The project focuses on creative industries such as fashion, architecture, film and design to create innovation between today's skills and tomorrow's opportunities.
